One of our staff members has created this video from the book you took home in your learning pack last week. So someone else can read your child a bedtime story tonight.
22/5/20 Cambridge Fire Station TourAnother fire station to look around - there are other films if you look on You Tube but we liked this one as it speeds up the fire man putting his equipment or PPE on!
22/5/20 Edwinstowe Fire Station Tour Take a look around the local fire station, to see the equipment and what the fire fighters do. Fits in with the children's topic of people who help us.
'Sounding out' is a very important skill children need to be able to do to read and write. We call it 'Fred Talk' at school because we use 'Fred the Frog' to help us. Playing games is a good way to practice this skill throughout the day. Here's a clip of Mrs Denton and her daughter playing Fred's Wardrobe, but you could play Fred's Breakfast/ Birthday etc or anything you like as long as you can say some words in Fred Talk. Have fun!
