The Pupil Parliament meets regularly to debate and discuss changes & improvements to Asquith Primary School.
Since September we have:
- Led on the names of the school houses
- Generated a list of possible provision for lunchtimes for SLT
- Fundraised for children in need
- Discussed our school value of respect and how it should be demonstrated around school
As part of Parliament week, the Members of Pupil Parliament in KS2 were given the opportunity to meet the MP for Mansfield, Steve Yemm. They listened to him talk about how parliament works before being given the change to ask him questions about his job. They really enjoyed 'bobbing' to ask questions.
On 26th September 2025, we had our inaugral ballot for the Members of Pupil Parliament. As a former polling station, the small hall, was once again transformed and classes were invited to cast their vote for their class representatives. A huge thank you to Mrs Graham, Mrs Evans and Mrs Brown for volunteering to run the polling station.
