  • Rebel Rangers in Half term. Dear Parents and Carers, Looking for something fun to do with the kids during February half term, weekends and the Easter holidays, with the chance to win an amazing family prize? Rebel Rangers is a family challenge running from Friday 13 February to Sunday 19 April 2026, and families who complete the full trail could win the top prize of a £1,000 Center Parcs gift voucher! 🌟 What is Rebel Rangers? Rebel Rangers is free to take part, although normal admission and parking charges for each attraction still apply. It is an interactive adventure trail for families with children aged 5-14. It encourages children to explore exciting heritage attractions and green spaces while completing fun challenges and learning about fascinating rebels from history. This year’s Rebel Rangers locations include: • Rufford Abbey Country Park • Thoresby Park • Bolsover Castle • Hardwick Hall • Creswell Crags & Welbeck Estate • Clumber Park Families can visit the attractions in any order, spread visits across weekends and school holidays, and take part at their own pace. 🏆 What can you win?   • Festival of Science and Curiosity The festival is about inviting the people of Nottinghamshire to share not only what they know, but also what they would like to know; it’s about celebrating curiosity, asking questions and taking a leading role in finding out the answers.
  • Mansfield Palace Theatre Over Feb half term there are lots of things happening at Mansfield Palace Theatre for children. Take a look at the link for more information.
  • Winter Mini Challenge - Reading for Pleasure The Winter Mini Challenge is back for 2025! This online challenge invites children aged 4 - 11 to read three books or more, between 1 December and 20 February, to earn digital rewards. Show Mrs Austin or Mrs B your certificate to be in with the chance of a small prize for being a superstar reader!
  • Magical Mission for young children Step into the legendary world of the Magical Major Oak and join Marian as the forest is transformed into a snowy playground. Must book - cost £2/child.
