Autumn learning 2023
Our Learning Journey
Stickman - We read stickman and then made our own stickman
We decorated biscuits using icing and sweets
We made jam tarts
We learnt all about 2D shapes. Then we used them to make a rocket to take us to the moon, like baby bear!
We looked at the art of Wassily Kandinsky. We noticed the different shapes and colours he used. We created our own shape art.
Whatever Next. We listened to the story and then acted it out.

Diwali - We learnt all about Diwali and how it is celebrated.
Cave Baby By Julia Donaldson- We read Cave Baby and learnt about life in the Stone Age. We looked at some cave art and tried to recreate the different hand print techniques.
Maths - We made repeating patterns using natural objects.
We looked at the art of Andy Goldsworthy and had a go at creating our own nature art
We drew pictures of our family
The children drew self portraits. We looked at ourselves in the mirror to help us.
