Keswick – Day 1

We made it! After a longer than expected journey we finally made it to Keswick. Many of the children were quick to point out that the trip had lasted the length of the school day but we were incredibly proud of how well they handled the setback. It even allowed time for a quick power nap from Mr B.

Once we had unloaded the coach it was time to explore. We had a wander down to the park and managed to play on the playground without scaring away the locals. We then made our way over to Derwentwater Lake, stopping off for an ice-cream in the process! We finished our day off with a brisk walk to Friar’s Cragg to take in the breath-taking views of the lake before heading back to get settled into our accommodation. We all enjoyed a fine meal of fish, mash and peas expertly cooked by Mr Harding.

We can’t wait to explore more of the Cumbrian countryside tomorrow!
