Day 3
After a much-needed nights sleep, we started the day with games in the main hall. This was followed by a delightful, cooked breakfast and a chance to pack our bags for another day out.
A coach arrived to take us to Crich Tramway Museum. Firstly, we boarded a double decker tram and rode the full length of the tram line taking in the old-fashioned surroundings. Halfway down the line we had to change the seats over so the tram car could go back in the opposite direction. Then came the opportunity to explore all the old trams in the tram sheds. There were some trams that were over 100 years old!
Another short tram ride to the opposite end saw us have lunch next to the old mining equipment. After lunch, we played on the equipment and took a stroll through the woodland area. There were lots of sculptures to look at and even play with. The walk ended at the park and provided a chance to run around and play.
After the park, we had time to explore the gift shop and old-fashioned sweet shop. We then took another tram (the Blackpool Boat) back to the exit and boarded the coach back to the centre. When we arrived, we had juice before playing out on the park and sports on the field.
Next up was dinner. We had a delicious meal of Spanish chicken and rice, followed by a meringue tart. After dinner we started to pack our things, showered and met in the main hall for some party games in our pyjamas and a film.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
