Day 1 - Monday 15th April
Hucklow 2024 - Day 1
After an enjoyable journey through the Derbyshire countryside, we arrived at Hucklow. Everyone helped to bring all of the bags into the building, it was then time for the children to find out what room they were in and to unpack. Once unpacked we headed to the park which is in the garden of the property we are staying, it was so much fun. Everyone was ready for their dinner and enjoyed their Pizza, chips & salad followed by jelly and ice cream.
After dinner we headed out for a walk, we walked through the village and up into the hills near to where we are staying - there was a lovely view from the top.
We arrived back just in time as the sky went black, there was thunder and lightning and the ground was covered in hail stones! The children wrote their postcards and did some colouring/played games. We all had a cup of hot chocolate and a biscuit and then it was time for bed, so as we can all be ready for tomorrows adventures.
