Free, drumming/ music sessions for ages 8-12 based in Nottinghamshire. Online weekly group sessions via zoom Mondays 5-6pm. Explore and learn to play beats and music from around the world including learning about the culture and traditions. The sessions will cover Brazilian carnival Samba drumming, African drumming, Body beats/ bucket beats, Indonesian Gamelan music, Steel pans, Cuban Salsa as well as learning how to record and create your own music using an online platform. Fun and friendly sessions will develop rhythm, timing, creativity and musical skills. No instruments needed, easily join in with items found in the home, or with your own instruments if you have them. Participants will need access to a laptop/ tablet/ smart phone and wifi/internet connection to access the sessions via zoom. Session dates April 26, May 10, 17, 24, June 7,14, 21, 28, July 5th.
