What's On and Things To Do!

Sherwood Forest Trust are also holding a session to collect acorns, to help them grow new oak trees! We will be joining in with this growing scheme in school, when Sherwood Forest Trust will visit us so we will have chance to plant a tree, in November or December. If you want to help collect acorns meet at The Major Oak, on Thursday 26th October between 10 and 2pm. Mrs B will be there in the morning, coming along and join in.

Sherwood Forest Trust are holding a free Fungi Walk on Tuesday 24th October on Sherwood Heath. So if you want to learn your Amethyst Deceiver from your Sulphur Tuft, your Fly Agric from your Puff Ball, then come along. 10am start, meet at the Alders pub car park. All welcome. Check out the Sherwood Forest Trust Facebook page for their post.

New Dance Class - starting Tuesday 10th October. 5-6pm, at the Old Library Theatre (next to the Museum) They are open to anyone aged 7-11 and the first class is free! After that its only £2/week. It would be great to see some of our dancers from Asquith going there.

From the first week in October, until Mid January, we have been chosen to take part in the TESCO store customer voting. We might be awarded a grant of up to £1500 which we will spend on outside play equipment for the children to use at lunchtimes. We need your help. When you shop at Tesco then please vote for Asquith at the voting board. This applies to Mansfield's Chesterfield Road and Nottingham Road stores, and also those in Bilsthorpe, Bildworth and Rainworth. Spread the word - get all your friends, family and neigbours to vote for Asquith too! The more votes we get in store, the better chance we have of securing the top grant!!
