Autumn 2025
What are we learning this half term - Autumn 1
Kandinsky - We learnt about Kandisky and looked at some of his famous art. We talked about the shapes and colours and then had a go at making our own Kandinsky inspired art.
Diwali - We learnt all about Diwali and how it is celebrated
We loved learning the story of The Little Red Hen. We acted the story out, we tasted bread from around the world and we baked our own rolls.
We used natural resources to make repeating patterns
We tasted gingerbread men whilst we listened to the story. We described their taste and smell
We made poppies for Remembrance Day and learnt why we wear them.
We have a love for reading and sharing books
We have been learning all about emotions. The children using autumnal objects to make faces showing different emotions
We looked at ourselves in the mirror and then drew self portraits
