Year 1 - Moving Pictures
Year 1 Art - Clay Houses
Session 3 was all about shelters! We learnt about animals and their shelters and nests. We talked about the animals move and the sounds they can make. We made a shelter for an animal puppet - by binding three sticks together and using branches to create cover! Some great ideas! We played in the Forest School area and talked about what we are going to do in our big final session around the fire pit.
Look at our adventurous play! Rope swing as part of our explorers trail, finding our way around the site, learning about compasses and making our own compass from wood! Great fun had by all!
Year 2 Forest School. We are linking our FS sessions to our explorer topic and we pretended to be explorers this week, making sure we were in adventure mode! We played Jackdaw Challenge to get warm, running around pretending to be birds! We played our lovely rabbit and badger game, where we pretend to be rabbits, lost in the woods and badger finds us by listening! Then we hunted around the Three Tree Forest to look for nature treasures!
Year 2 - Explorers Hook
Our new topic is explorers. We followed maps around the school and they led us to a bag. The bag was huge - some of us tried it on and it was really heavy! We investigated what was inside and found all sorts of items. Take a look at the pictures to see what we found. We decided that the bag must belong to an explorer - someone who travels all over the world.
