DAY 1
Everyone arrived safely at Hucklow at around 5:30 after an unexpected delay to our departure time which meant that the children had to manage their anticipation for longer. Thank you for your understanding with this.
A torrential downpour caused havoc when trying to unload the bus. All the luggage was unpacked swiftly albeit a little soggy. We dropped our bags in our hall and headed straight for dinner. Pizza, chips and salad was enjoyed by all followed by a homemade chocolate cookie.
Due to the weather, plans of an evening walk and playing on the park had to be changed. We took advantage of the centre's well stocked cupboard to keep ourselves entertained before putting our PJs on and chilling out with a hot chocolate and film.
Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow as we head to Matlock Farm Park.
