Day 2 started bright and early with a cooked breakfast which was enjoyed by all. We then made sure we were all packed up and ready to set off to Matlock Farm Park.
We were greeted on arrival by our guide who showed us to the room which we would be using as a base for the day. A quick safety briefing and we began our guided activities. This started by meeting two rabbits and two guinea pigs (plus a bonus meet and greet with the farm cat). We were then guided round the farm to feed alpacas, deer, goats and ponies. Our guided activities finished with meeting the meerkats. The children impressed with the knowledge they have on Meerkats.
After handwashing, we ate our lunch which had been provided by our accommodation. We then explored more of the farm before playing on the play park. The children loved getting their feet in the sand even though it was much colder than they expected. We walked round the remainder of the farm and spent a large amount of time on the bouncy pillow.
The bus took us back to the centre and the sun came out which meant we could take advantage of the private park at the accommodation. Mrs Graham arrived as a special guest for dinner (Bangers and Mash) followed by more downtime and time outside.
An amazing day was had by all and we're all very excited for what is in store for Wednesday.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
