DAY 5

Sorry for the delay in this post - The final day! We started with a breakfast of mini French pastries and cereal before heading to the classroom to begin our activities. We headed over to Brookfield Manor to check out some mammal traps set by the St. Michael’s staff - a couple of little critters were found! - as well as creating art pieces with nature, all of which were very impressive! We walked to a little fire pit nearby to roast marshmallows and talk about our favourite parts of the residential, before heading back to the centre for lunch and final checks of belongings. The coach ride back to school was delightfully air-conditioned, and we unpacked quickly before letting the kids go home.

A big thank you to all of the children for an amazing week - they’ve all taken part wholeheartedly, despite the heat, and they were all wonderful to work with.

Thank you to all of the St. Michael’s staff for being so welcoming and making sure the children were all included and enjoyed themselves. Thank you also for the amazing meals.

Thank you to all of the staff who made the trip possible and helped to lead activities, serve up the food, and ensure all of the children were taken care of.

Finally, a massive thank you to Mrs. J, who made all of the trip possible. For the planning, the leadership, and the persistent support that she provided to everyone - she truly is an amazing teacher!!

We hope that all of the children enjoyed their week away!!
