  • Capital One Visit

    Wed 23 Apr 2025

Today the second half of the year 6 children visited the Capital One Office in Nottingham. We learnt what Capital One do, about different peoples jobs in the organisation, we had a tour of the office and talked about lots of skills that the organisation would be looking for in our pupils. They tried to help the children think about their own skills and how they can develop those skills more and why they might be useful to an employer in the future. Then we used all the recycling that families had helped to gather together, to make a robot that could be used by Capital One - children won prizes! Wow!

    Asquith and Wynndale,

What's up guys. It was a real pleasure to get to know you all while you were here. Each and every one of you achieved something amazing while you were here and have every reason to be very proud.

We have all enjoyed thinking back on our week with you and I have a lovely time reading your postcards. Please let them be a reminder of how great you felt after a week of freedom in the outdoors and you grew as people and connected with the world around you and each other.

We are all part of the natural world, and have a responsibility to look after it. But most importantly to ENJOY IT! Get out there as spring takes hold. Smell the flowers, lie in the grass, watch the butterflies and bees as they dance through the sky, sing with the birds, take time with the trees and always remember that you are a part of it all.

Thank you for coming to spend your week at Lambourne End.

All the best from me and the team, Simeon Walsh, Lambourne End Instructor.
