  • Girls Yoga Club launched!

    Thu 26 Feb 2026

Sixteen girls and four staff members started our new Yoga Club today!

Supported by funding from a Tesco grant, we bought yoga mats to enable all the girls to have a mat. We did a warm up video and then a 20mins yoga, with a short meditation to cool down. Everyone had a great time, we particularly enjoyed the warm up video! We are going to try different yoga videos but come back to the one we started with today, in the last session so we can see if we have proved!

Thank you to Tesco Stronger Starts grant!

  • Start of our World Book Day Activities

    Thu 26 Feb 2026

We got off to a flying start on Wednesday 25th Feb, when specially selected children visited Mansfield Library and TGJones. We looked around the library and some children chose a book to take home. It costs nothing to borrow a book from the library!

We then went to TGJones who had a good display of the £1 World Book Day books. All the children chose theirs and we also got a few for school!

World Book Day is Thursday 5th March - we have times when parents can come into school to share a book with their child and also a chance to get involved in a Poetry Performance!

  • Ruby's Worry - brought to life!

    Wed 11 Feb 2026

Thanks to Mansfield Palace Theatre and Mish Mash Productions who brough the book Ruby's Worry to life in our very own Sports Hall. Children from Nursery to year 3/4, enjoyed the 40 mins performance through the day on Friday 6th Feb.

There was a great deal of excitement as the story unfolded, the children were so excited to see everything unfold.

Our heartfelt thanks to both organisations for giving our children this opportunity for free, though funding secured by the Palace Theatre team. We hope they will select our school for future performances.
