Summer Reading Challenge 2019: Space Chase
FREE fun at Inspire libraries
13 July to 8 September
for children aged 4 - 11 years old
Pupils at Asquith will know more information about this following an assembly on Tuesday 16th July.
A number of KS2 pupils take part in Children's University, where they build up hours on a card for extra curricular activities that they do outside of the school day.
Three Asquith pupils graduated this year and went to Nottingham Trent University to collect their Gold award certificates. The pupils, parents/carers, siblings and staff that went along to the award ceremony had a lovely evening. We were greeted by students from the university, treated to a lovely buffet tea, worked with the children to explore scientific creations, the three children dressed in gowns for the celebration and then we enjoyed a tour of the grounds.

Daily Keswick 2019 updates are available by visiting the News and Events tab on the school website and clicking on Residential Visits - Keswick 2019.
Have a look every day to see what the pupils have been doing. It looks like they are having a great time!
"Members of the School Council and the Asquith LTD team visited the Veolia Material Recovery Facility on the 20th June to find out why we should recycle. We learned that an apple core takes 8 weeks to rot down, a banana skin takes 6 weeks. A sheet of paper takes 6 weeks BUT a glossy magazine takes between 20 to 50 YEARS! Lets make sure all those newspapers and magazines go in the blue bin, so they can be turned into other newspapers!
We also learned that many resources get put in the green bin which should be recycled like plastic bottles and tin cans. We could all do better at recycling. We will be continuing to improve our recycling next year with the Asquith LTD ECO Group. Look out for more information in Sept about how your children can join the Asquith LTD group."
